The first written mention about Předhradí comes from 1654. Its name means before the castle and relates to the castle Rychmburk. Rychmburk was first mentioned between the end of 13th and beginning of 14th century. During 1530-40 the castle was rebuilt and further changes were made at the end of 16th century.
