Sedlec Ossuary

The Sedlec Ossuary (Czech: Kostnice v Sedlci) is a small Roman Catholic chapel, located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people, whose bones have in many cases been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.

Church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist

The Church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist is a baroque-style church north-east of Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic and is part of a World heritage site with the chapel of All Saints. The church was built first in a gothic style at the end of the 13th-century. After the Hussite Wars, it was destroyed and re-built at the beginning of the eighteenth century by Jan Santini Aichel in the style of the baroque. The latest restoration of the church took place in 2001.
