Brabrand
Brabrand is a Danish town 6–9 km west of Aarhus with a population of 19,000 which became a suburb of Århus in 1970. South of the town lies the lakes "Brabrand Sø" and "Aarslev Engsø", which is the largest recreational areas of Aarhus County. The town was founded in the 18th century by means of burning the forest (the name reflects this), initially based mainly on farmers and associated trades.

Gellerup
Gellerup is a district of Brabrand and western suburb to the city of Aarhus, Denmark. The name Gellerup is also commonly used to refer to a large housing project called Gellerupparken located in the suburb. The housing project was built in 1968-72 and contains in total 1776 apartments. Gellerupparken consists of the characteristic high rise concrete apartments constructed of large, prefabricated concrete slabs.
