Midtdjurs Municipality

Until January 1, 2007 Midtdjurs was a municipality in the former Aarhus County on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality, in the middle of a region known as Djursland, covered an area of 179 km², and had a total population of 7.763 (2005). Its last mayor was Kim Dalgaard Poulsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Kolind.

Djursland

Djursland is a Danish peninsula located on the east coast of the larger Jutland peninsula. Other minor peninsulas are also found stretching out from Djursland, such as Skødshoved and Helgenæs. Djursland is also Jyllands only round church in Thorsager. The Seaport Grenaa is the largest city in Djursland.

Syddjurs Municipality

Syddjurs municipality is a municipality in Region Midtjylland in Denmark just north of Aarhus and is a part of the Aarhus area. It covers an area of 693 km² and a total population of 41,281 (2008). The municipality is also a part of the East Jutland metropolitan area with 1,2 mio inhabitants. .

Djurs Sommerland

Djurs Sommerland (English: Djur's Summer Land) is an amusement park, situated 3 kilometers north of Nimtofte on Djursland, 23 kilometers west of Grenaa, and 36 km east of Randers, Denmark. The park was opened in 1981, and it has been expanded every year since then. The park is, like the name suggests, only open in the summer. It opens around May 10 and the season lasts until mid-September.

Ring Djursland

Ring Djursland is a motor racing circuit in Pederstrup, Denmark. The circuit is owned by AMU Djursland, who run daily driving courses there. It also hosts rounds of the Danish Touringcar Championship. Ring Djursland first opened in 1965, but was altered a year later to its current layout. In 1983 it was bought by the Danish state, who renovated the track to use it as an educational centre with advanced driving courses for lorry drivers.
