Hobro
Hobro with a population of 11,710 (1 January 2012) is an old market and railway town in northern Denmark. Hobro is the seat of Mariagerfjord municipality in Region Nordjylland on the Jutland peninsula. The town is situated in a hilly terrain at the head of Mariager Fjord, close to the former Viking fortress of Fyrkat.

Fyrkat
Fyrkat might be the oldest of Denmark's former Viking ring castles. It is located near the town of Hobro some distance from the end of the Mariager Fjord in North Jutland. Mariagerfjord is a municipality in North Denmark Region in Denmark. It covers an area of 769 km² and a total population of 42,667 (2008). On January 1, 2007 Mariagerfjord municipality was created as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), consisting of the former municipalities of Arden, Hadsund and Hobro, and part of Mariager municipality. The municipality consists of the land around Mariager Fjord from which the municipality takes its name.
