Otterup Municipality

Until 1 January 2007 Otterup municipality was a municipality in the former Funen County on the north coast of the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality included the island of Vigelsø, and covered an area of 169 km². It had a total population of 10,973 (2005). Its last mayor was Bent Dyssemark, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Otterup.

Otterup

Otterup is a town in central Denmark, located in Nordfyn municipality on the island of Funen with a population of 4,927 (1 January 2012). Between 1889 and 1994 the Schultz & Larsen rifle factory was working from this small town.

Vigelsø

Vigelsø is a small, uninhabited island in Odense Fjord, off the coast of Funen, Denmark. With an area of 132 hectares, it is the largest island in the fjord and an important breeding ground for watergowl and rest stop for migratory birds. It is part of the Special Area of Conservation No. SPC 94, Odense Fjord under the EU Habitat and Birds Directives.

Odense Airport

Odense Airport (Danish: Odense Lufthavn, also often referred to as Beldringe Lufthavn) is a small airport servicing the Danish city of Odense. It is located in the village of Beldringe, north-northwest of the city. The airstrip was constructed for military purposes in the early 1940s during the German occupation of Denmark. The airport previously operated domestic flights to Copenhagen, but Mærsk Air terminated this route following the opening of the Great Belt Fixed Link.
