The Funen Village
The Funen Village (Danish: Den Fynske Landsby) is a Danish open air museum located in the Fruens Bøge district of Odense. It features 25 buildings from Funish villages, most of which date to the 18th and 19th century. The Funen Village was founded as a public works project in 1942, during the German occupation of Denmark, and opened to the public on 1 April 1946. Among the guests attending the opening were King Christian X.

Trundholm municipality was a municipality in West Zealand County on the northwest coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark, in a region known as Odsherred. The municipality covered an area of 163 km², and had a total population of 11,309 (2005). Its last mayor was Hans Møller Olsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. Odense University
Odense University, now Syddansk Universitet Odense (or SDU Odense in abbreviated form), has been part of the University of Southern Denmark since 1998 of which it forms the biggest campus. It is the university of Odense, Denmark's third largest city, and the island of Funen. When abbreviated, the university motto becomes FIONIA, the Latin name for Funen. The motto was created by the university's first rector, Mogens Brøndsted in 1966.
