Heinävesi Church

Heinävesi Church is an Evangelical Lutheran wooden church located in Heinävesi, Finland. It was built in 1890–1891 and designed by Josef Stenbäck. The church represents the Gothic Revival style, like many of the other churches designed by Stenbäck. The length of the church is 40 meters, breadth 30 meters and height 45 meters. The church has 2,000 seats and is thus the second biggest wooden church in Finland. The bell tower has two bells, a smaller one from 1765 and a larger one from 1906.

Kermajärvi

Kermajärvi (literally Finn. kerma for cream, järvi for lake) is a lake of Finland entirely located in Heinävesi in Southern Savonia. It is the country's 53rd largest lake with an area of 85,57 km² and consists of a wide open lake with plenty of islands in both northwest and southeast parts of it and several long, narrow bays in both ends. Its farthest extension from northwest to southeast is some 29 kilometres.

Varistaipale canal

Varistaipale canal is a Finnish canal in Heinävesi. The canal is a part of Heinävesi route, a route with six canals: Kerma, Vihovuonne, Pilppa, Karvio, Taivallahti and Varistaipale canals. The canal was built in 1911–1913 and has four locks. It is the biggest canal in Finland being the only canal to have this many locks. The height of drop totals 14.5 metres and the length is 1,100 metres . Next to the canal there is a canal museum.

Lintula Holy Trinity Convent

Lintula Holy Trinity Convent or Lintula Convent (Finnish: Lintulan Pyhän Kolminaisuuden luostari or Lintulan luostari) is a small Orthodox Christian convent located in Palokki, Heinävesi, Finland, close to the New Valamo Monastery. The monastery was founded in 1895 on the isthmus of Karelia, in the parish of Kivennapa. In 1946, the Convent moved to Heinävesi.
