Kråkö

Kråkö is a small island in Porvoo (Borgå in Swedish) in Finland. There is a primary school for Swedish-speaking children on the island and a voluntary fire station. There used to be a few shops and a cafeteria. However these closed down in the late 1990s. There is a museum of boatbuilding, reflecting the islanders' main industry during the 19th and 20th centuries. The population was, until recent times, almost unilingually Swedish-speaking.

Porvoo Cathedral

Porvoo cathedral is a cathedral in Porvoo, Finland. It was built in the 15th century, although the oldest parts date from the 13th century. It is used by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and is the seat of the Diocese of Borgå, Finland's Swedish-speaking diocese. The cathedral is also used for services by the Porvoo Finnish-speaking parish, which is administratively part of the Diocese of Helsinki.

Diet of Porvoo

The Diet of Porvoo (Finnish Porvoon maapäivät, or unhistorically Porvoon valtiopäivät; Swedish Borgå landtdag), was the summoned legislative assembly to establish the Grand Principality of Finland in 1809 and the heir of the powers of the Swedish Riksdag of the Estates. The session of the Diet lasted from January to July 1809.

Sibbesborg

Sibbesborg was a medieval castle in Sipoo, Finland. Today, only some earth walls remain on the forested hill upon which it stood. The castle was mostly made of bricks and wood in the late 14th century. Sibbesborg was originally located on an island, but due to the post-glacial rebound the hill has been firmly connected to the mainland since the 17th century. The site can be accessed on foot.
