Kimitoön (island)
Kimitoön is the largest coastal island of Finland with the area of 524 square kilometres . It is situated in the Finland Proper region in Western Finland province. The island has a population of 7,500 divided between the two municipalities: Kimitoön and Salo of which Salo is mostly located on the mainland. The island is bilingual, the majority speaks Swedish.

Kimito
Kimito is a former municipality of Finland. On January 1, 2009, it was consolidated with Dragsfjärd and Västanfjärd to form the new municipality of Kimitoön. Västanfjärd is a former municipality of Finland. On January 1, 2009, it was consolidated with Dragsfjärd and Kimito to form the new municipality of Kimitoön. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality had a population of 812 (2004-12-31) and covered an area of 96.62 km² (excluding sea) of which 0.69 km² is inland water. The population density was 8.46 inhabitants per km².

Särkisalo
Särkisalo is a former municipality of Finland, located mostly on Särkisalo island. It was consolidated with Salo on January 1, 2009. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality had a population of 710 (2004-12-31) and covered an area of 82.85 km² (excluding sea) of which 1.06 km² is inland water. The population density was 8.68 inhabitants per km².

Karuna Church
The Karuna church is a stone church located in Karuna Sauvo, Finland Proper, Finland. It was designed by Finnish church architect Josef Stenbäck and built in 1908–1910. The style of the building reflects National Romantic style with Jugendstil features. The bell tower is located in the southeast corner of the structure the bells of which were made in 1689. The church has the capacity to seat 480 people. The altar paintings were created by Ilmari Launis.
