Kakheti
Kakheti is a region formed in the 1990s in eastern Georgia from the historical province of Kakheti and the small, mountainous province of Tusheti. Telavi is its capital. The region comprises eight administrative districts: Telavi, Gurjaani, Qvareli, Sagarejo, Dedoplistsqaro, Signagi, Lagodekhi and Akhmeta. Gurjaani
Gurjaani is a town in Georgia, located in the region of Kakheti and serving as the center of the Gurjaani district. Gurjaani is situated in the Alazani Valley, 415 m above sea level, and 110 km east of the nation's capital Tbilisi. As of the 2002 census, its population was approximately 10,000. The town is one of the centers of Georgia's wine industry. Landmarks include the Church of the Dormition (Kvelatsminda; 8th-9th century), Museum of Local Lore and History, and Museum of Nato Vachnadze.

Sighnaghi
Sighnaghi (Signagi) is a town in Georgia's easternmost region of Kakheti and the administrative center of the Sighnaghi District. It is one of the country's smallest towns with a population of 2,146 as of the 2002 census. Sighnaghi's economy is dominated by the production of wine, traditional carpets and Georgian traditional food Mcvadi. The town and its environs are also known for their landscapes and historical monuments.

Iormughanlo
Iormughanlo is a village in Sagarejo district in Kakheti province in eastern Georgia located 446 m above sea level. Its inhabitants are primarily ethnic Azeris. As of November 2006, approximately 600 residents did not possess Georgian identification cards, prompting a visit by Minister of Justice Gia Kavtaradze. A tornado hit the village in June 2005, injuring 13 residents and damaging several homes.
