Gardabani
Gardabani is a town in the Georgian region of Kvemo Kartli, and the centre of the Garbabani district, located 39 km south of Georgia's capital Tbilisi. As of 2002, its population was 19,900 people. The town is roughly (43%) Azerbaijani-populated. Formerly known as Karayazi, it was renamed, after a nearby located ruined medieval fortress Qaratepe, to Gardabani in 1947 and was given the status of a city in 1969.

Gara-Yaz State Reserve
Gara-Yaz State Reserve or Qarayazy State Reserve was established on the area of 48.55 km² in 1978 for protecting and restoring of riparian woodlands around the Kur. It mainly protects rare and endangered tugai ecological systems, occupying the lands in the mid stream of the Kur. Riparian woodlands includes such types of trees as white poplar, oak, alder-tree and white acacia. Among sharp-clawed animals the most widely spread are wild boar and deer, among birds; pheasant, thrush, dove, etc.

Khrami River
The Khrami River is a 201 km-long river in eastern Georgia and partly in western Azerbaijan, the right tributary to the Kura River. It originates in the Trialeti Range and flows into the deep valley, being primarily fed by snow. Its tributaries are: the Debeda and Mashavera rivers. The Tsalka Reservoir and three hydroelectric power plants are built on the Krami River.

Red Bridge (border)
Red Bridge (Azerbaijani: Qırmızı Körpü; Georgian: წითელი ხიდი, Tsiteli Khidi) is the crossing point between Georgia and Azerbaijan on the Tbilisi to Ganja road. The term translates into English as Red Bridge, and is so named because there is a red-brick bridge arch bridge across the Khrami River in the no-man's land area between the border posts. The bridge's current structure is mostly 17th century, but there has been a bridge on the site since the 12th century crossing.
