Hainhausen

Hainhausen is first documented in 1108 and is the smallest of the five villages that make up the town of Rodgau. It was the site of the moated castle of the von Hagenhausens. The castle was destroyed in the Napoleonic wars. Its major claim to fame is its annual procession giving thanks to St. Rochus for deliverance during the plague that swept through the area in the 16th century.

It is operated by Media Broadcast GmbH (previously a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG), on behalf of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, Germany's national physics laboratory.

Mainflingen transmitter

The Mediumwave transmitter Mainflingen (Mainflingen B) is a mediumwave transmission facility south of the A3 motorway near Mainflingen, Hesse, Germany. Mainflingen was the first mediumwave transmitter for the radio station Deutschlandfunk. It went into service in 1962 with a transmission power of 50 kW, on a frequency of 1538 kHz, at the upper end of the mediumwave band.
