Volme

The Volme is a river in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the left tributary of the Ruhr. It is 49.8 km long, of which 21.3 km lie within the city limits of Hagen. The Volme rises at 480 m above sea level in the southeastern part of the Ruhr region, flows through the municipalities of Meinerzhagen and Hagen and empties into the River Ruhr at 91 m above sea level. In the city of Hagen, the Volme is predominantly canalised, and since 2004 has been under restoration.

Cabinentaxi

Cabinentaxi, sometimes Cabintaxi in English, was a German people mover development project undertaken by Demag and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm with funding and support from the Bundesministerium für Forschung und Technologie (BMFT, the German Ministry of Research and Development). Cabinentaxi was designed to offer low-cost mass transit services where conventional systems, like a metro, would be too expensive to deploy due to low ridership or high capital costs.

Hagen Central Station

Hagen Central Station (Hagen Hauptbahnhof) is a railway for the city of Hagen in western Germany. It is an important rail hub for the southeastern Ruhr area, offering regional and long distance connections. The station was opened in 1848 as part of the Bergisch-Märkische Railway Company's Elberfeld–Dortmund line and is one of the few stations in the Ruhr valley to retain its original station hall, which dates back to 1910.

Hagen-Wehringhausen station

Hagen-Wehringhausen station is a through station in the city of Hagen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened on 27 May 1979 on a section of the Düsseldorf-Derendorf–Dortmund Süd railway, opened by the Rhenish Railway Company (German: Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, RhE) between Wuppertal-Wichlinghausen and Hagen RhE station (now Hagen-Eckesey depot) on 15 September 1879. It has one platform track and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station.

Hagen-Heubing station

Hagen-Heubing station is a through station in the city of Hagen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened along with a section of the Düsseldorf-Derendorf–Dortmund Süd railway, opened by the Rhenish Railway Company (German: Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, RhE) between Wuppertal-Wichlinghausen and Hagen RhE station (now Hagen-Eckesey depot) on 15 September 1879. It was closed on 14 May 1950, but reopned in 1968.
