Ring°racer
ring°racer is a Formula One-themed roller coaster which was due to open on August 15, 2009 at the Nürburgring race course as part of the Nürburgring 2009 project. It was originally planned to accelerate from 0 to 217 kilometres per hour in 2.5 seconds. parallel to the grand prix track. However, two defects in the launch system mean its opening has been delayed until 2013. On 3 September 2009, a series of explosions in the pneumatic system caused injuries to seven people, and shattered windows.

Nürburgring
The Nürburgring is a motorsports complex around the village of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located about 70 km south of Cologne, and 120 km northwest of Frankfurt. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a much longer old "North loop" track which was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains.

2006 European Grand Prix
The 2006 European Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany on May 7, 2006. The race, contested over 60 laps, was the fifth round of the 2006 Formula One season. It was won by Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher who took his second victory of the season. Polesitter Fernando Alonso finished in second position for the Renault team, whilst the second Ferrari of Felipe Massa achieved his first podium finish of the season with third place.

2004 European Grand Prix
The 2004 European Grand Prix was a Formula One race held on May 30, 2004 at the Nürburgring. The race was noticeable due to the race strategy employed by Ferrari. Michael Schumacher extended his gap over his rivals to close to 18 seconds in the first 7 laps before pitting, thus exiting in 6th place after the pit-stop.

2007 European Grand Prix
The 2007 European Grand Prix (Originally 2007 German Grand Prix) was the tenth race of the 2007 Formula One season. It was held from 20 to July 22 at the Nürburgring. On August 29, 2006 it was announced that the European Grand Prix had been removed from the F1 calendar for the 2007 season. Since then there has only been one GP hosted in Germany each year, alternating between Hockenheimring and Nürburgring. However, the name for this Grand Prix was in doubt.
