Kemusuk

Kemusuk is a village in the Argo Mulya area in the Sedayu subdistrict, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The village, around 10km to the west of Yogyakarta towards the town of Wates, is known as the birthplace of former president Suharto. Suharto was born to a 'poor but not unimportant farmer's family' in the village where his father, Kertosudiro, was a village irrigation official in charge of overseeing the allocation of water to different farmers in the village .

Imogiri

Imogiri (also Imagiri) is a royal graveyard complex in Yogyakarta, in south-central Java, Indonesia, as well as a modern village located near the graveyard in Bantul Regency. Imogiri is a traditional resting place for the royalty of central Java, including many rulers of the Sultanate of Mataram and of the current houses of Surakarta and Yogyakarta Sultanate. The name Imagiri is derived from Sanskrit Himagiri, which means 'mountain of snow'. The latter is another name for Himalaya.

Progo River

Progo River is a river in southern central Java, Indonesia. The river passed through two provinces of Indonesia; Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region. The river source is at the slopes of Mount Sundoro, Central Java. The river runs to southeast through Magelang city. The river runs through historical Kedu Plain, passed near Mendut, Pawon and Borobudur temples in Central Java. In Yogyakarta the river formed a natural boundary between Sleman Regency, Kulon Progo Regency and Bantul Regency.

Opak River

Opak River is a river that flows from the lower slopes of Mount Merapi and passes to the east the location of Yogyakarta and west of Kota Gede. It also passes the historical locations of Plered, Karta, and Imogiri before draining into the Indian Ocean in the southern part of Bantul.
