1990 Manjil-Rudbar earthquake

The Manjil-Rudbar Earthquake occurred at 00:30:09 on June 21, 1990 . It caused widespread damage in areas within a one hundred kilometer radius of the epicenter near the city of Rasht and about two hundred kilometers northwest of Tehran. The cities of Rudbar, Manjil, and Lushan and 700 villages were destroyed, and over three hundred villages were affected. There was $200,000,000 in damage in Gilan and Zanjan provinces southwest of the Caspian Sea.

Rudkhan Castle

Rud-khan Castle (also Rood-khan Castle) is a brick and stone medieval castle in Iran. Located 25 km southwest of Foman city north of Iran in Gilan province, it is a military complex which had been constructed during the Seljuk Dynasty by followers of the Ismā'īlī sect. The castle is built on two tips of a mount, with an area of 2.6 hectares . Its architects have benefited from natural mountainous features in the construction of the fort.

Marlik

Marlik is an ancient site near Roudbar in Gilan, north of Iran. The site of a royal cemetery, and artifacts found at this site date back to 3,000 years ago. According to G.N. Kurochkin, the archeological monuments Indo-Iranians and show similarities to the descriptions of the Avesta Yashts.

Manjil Dam (originally named "Sefid River Dam") is a hydroelectric dam in Iran with an installed electricity generating capability of 87 MWh. It is situated in Gilan Province, and forms a reservoir with a capacity of 1.82 km .
