Holycross (Irish: Mainistir na Croise Naofa) is a village and civil parish in North Tipperary, Ireland. It is one of 21 civil parishes in the barony of Eliogarty. Unusually, the civil parish straddles two counties and the baronies of Eliogarty and of Middle Third (South Tipperary). It is also an ecclesiastical parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. The village developed around the Cistercian Holy Cross Abbey on the River Suir. Its population was 700 at the 2006 census.

The Holy Cross Abbey (Mainistir na Croise Naofa) in Tipperary is a restored Cistercian monastery in Holycross near Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland, situated on the River Suir. It takes its name from a relic of the True Cross or Holy rood. The fragment of that Holy rood was brought to Ireland by the Plantagenet Queen, Isabella of Angoulême, around 1233.
