Cloonanaha

Cloonanaha (from Irish: Cluain an Fhathaigh) (less often Clounanaha) is a small village and townland in County Clare, Ireland. The village is just off the R460 road to the west of Inagh. Rineen Ambush

The Rineen Ambush was an ambush carried out by the Irish Republican Army (IRA) on 22 September 1920, during the Irish War of Independence. It took place at Drummin Hill in the townland of Drummin, near the hamlet of Rineen (or Rinneen), County Clare. The IRA's Mid-Clare Brigade attacked a Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) lorry, killing six officers. Shortly after, the IRA volunteers were attacked by ten lorry-loads of British Army soldiers, who had been sent as reinforcements.

Lahinch Golf Club

Lahinch Golf Club is a world renowned links golf course in the village of Lahinch on the northwest coast of County Clare, in northern Munster, Ireland. It is situated approximately 20 miles northwest of the town of Ennis. Founded in 1892 by officials of Limerick Golf Club Alexander W. Shaw and Richard J. Plummer, they laid out an 18-hole course, the original course had ten holes on each side of the road. It has often been described as the "St. Andrew's" of Ireland.

C.B.S. Secondary School Ennistymon

CBS Ennistymon is an all-boys secondary school located in Ennistymon Co. Clare. It was founded in 1824 by Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice and one of the oldest Christian Brothers Schools in the country and is also the only all-boys school in Co. Clare. The last brother to be principal (Brother Ned Hayden) left the school in 1996 Mr Micheál Ó Maolchaoin was acting principal for 2 years and then made the first lay principal of the school.
