Kahal

Kahal is a moshav in the Galilee near Highway 85 in northern Israel. The moshav is a combined agricultural community. It lies at the border of the Upper Galilee and Lower Galilee, north of Lake Kinneret and just northwest of Tabgha. Gennesaret

Gennesaret, Gennesareth or Ginosar, ("a garden of riches") was a town alloted to the tribe of Naphtali, called "Kinnereth", sometimes in the plural form "Kinneroth" . In later times the name was gradually changed to Genezareth, Genezar and Gennesaret. No trace of the Gennesaret city remains. Flavius Josephus refers to the area as having very rich soil. This city stood on the northwestern shore of the lake to which it gave its name: Lake of Gennesaret.

Parod

Parod is a kibbutz in the Upper Galilee near Safed in northern Israel. It belongs to the Merom HaGalil Regional Council The community was founded in 1949 by immigrants to Israel from Hungary, on land belonging to the ethnically cleansed Palestinian village of Farradiyya. The name "Parod" is based on the name of the ancient Jewish community Paradia. The name, which means "separated," might also hint at the community's location on the border between the Upper and Lower Galilee.

Tefahot

Tefahot is a moshav in the Galilee in northern Israel. It belongs to the Merom HaGalil Regional Council. It is a community of religious Jews located several hundred meters south of Maghar. It is named for the hill on which it is located, the hill of Tefahot. It was founded in 1980 by children of nearby moshavim and with support from the Jewish Agency.

Jubb Yussef (Joseph's Well)

The ruins at Jubb Yussef in the Galilee are identified with the pit in Dothan, into which the Biblical figure Joseph was cast into by his brothers, later to be sold to a caravan of Midianites making its way toward Egypt. For centuries, the site served as a crossroads on the Via Maris linking Egypt, Syria, and Mesopotamia. From the 10th century onward, it is mentioned as a landmark, a holy place, and a source of water for caravans.
