Kocēni Municipality is a municipality in Vidzeme, Latvia. The municipality was formed in 2009 by merging Bērzaine parish, Dikļi parish, Kocēni parish, Vaidava parish and Zilākalns parish; the administrative centre being Kocēni. From 2009 to 2009.01.28. name of municipality was Valmieras municipality (Valmieras novads).

A3 road (Latvia)
The A3 is a national road in Latvia connecting Inčukalns to Estonian border in Valka. The road is part of European Route E264, and part of TEN-T road network of Latvia. After the border, the road turns into Estonian National Highway 3, which leads to Jõhvi in northeastern Estonia. The length of A3 in Latvian territory is 122 kilometers. The road leads through the scenic Gauja National Park. Currently A3 has 1x1 lanes in full length.

Burtnieki is a village (population 488) in Burtnieki parish, North Latvia, near the Lake Burtnieks. Administrative center of Burtnieki municipality. Burtnieki was first mentioned in Indrikis chronicles in 1208 and has several historic sites: Burtnieki castle-ruins, Burtnieki manor and Burtnieki church.
