Līgatne parish

Līgatne parish was an administrative unit of the Cēsis District, Latvia. Pop. 2864 (2005). It covered the area of 160.6 km². By the 2009 administrative reform, this territorial unit was merged into the Līgatne municipality.

Amata Municipality

Amata Municipality is a municipality in Vidzeme, Latvia. The municipality was formed in 2000 by merging Amata parish and Drabeši parish, but in 2009 it absorbed Nītaure parish, Skujene parish and Zaube parish, too the administrative centre being Drabeši.

Sigulda Castle

Sigulda Castle also known as Sigulda New Castle (Latvian: Siguldas jaunā pils). Built in 1878 in the Neo-Gothic style as the living house for the owners of the manor, the Kropotkin family. The building has changed its owners and functions several times. Since 1993, the Sigulda Region Council has been located in the castle.

Turaida Castle

Turaida Castle is a recently reconstructed medieval castle in Turaida, in the Vidzeme region of Latvia, on the opposite bank of the Gauja River from Sigulda.

Gutmanis Cave

Gutman's Cave is the deepest cave in the Baltic countries, located on the Gauja River bank in the National Park of Sigulda, Latvia. The largest cave in the Baltic countries and also the oldest tourist attraction in Latvia. On the walls of the cave there are inscriptions from the 17th century. The legend of the Rose of Turaida began in this cave.
