Ponary massacre

The Ponary massacre or Paneriai massacre (Polish: zbrodnia w Ponarach) was the mass-murder of 100,000 people, mostly Jews and Polish intelligentsia, by German SD, SS and Lithuanian Nazi collaborators Sonderkommando collaborators (Special SD and German Security Police Squad Ypatingasis būrys units) during World War II and the Holocaust in Reichskommissariat Ostland. The executions took place between July 1941 and August 1944 near the railway station of Paneriai - a suburb of Vilnius, Lithuania.

Paneriai

For the massacre during World War II of Jews and Poles, see Ponary massacre. For the Polish village of the same name, see Ponary. Paneriai is a neighborhood of Vilnius, situated about 10 kilometres away from the city center. It is the largest elderate in the Vilnius city municipality. It is located on low forested hills, on the Vilnius-Warsaw road.

Gariūnai Market is a biggest market in Lithuania. Located in Lithuanian Capital City of Vilnius. There working about 10,000 sellers, mostly Lithuanians, also Russians, Belorussians. In the end of 2010 there was also built several malls.

Vilnius Minties Gymnasium

Vilnius "Minties" gymnasium is a 12-year high school in Lazdynai microdistrict, Vilnius, Lithuania. It focuses on teaching mathematics and informatics. It was built in 1974 and was named as the 40th Vilnius high school. In 1994 it was renamed as Minties high school. In 2003 it was decided to turn the school into a four-year gymnasium. In 2005, 92 students graduated and 83% of them continue their education at various universities and colleges. About 80 teachers work in the gymnasium.

LITEXPO

LITEXPO (from Lithuanian exposition) or Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre (Lithuanian: Lietuvos parodų ir kongresų centras), located in Vilnius, Lithuania, is the largest exhibition centre in the Baltic states. It offers five exhibition halls with a combined area of 17,600 square metres and outdoor area of 15,100 square metres . LITEXPO organizes over twenty international exhibitions annually, including Resta (construction fair) and Vilnius Book Fair.
