Marko's Monastery

Marko's Monastery is a monastery located in the village of Markova Sušica, 18 kilometres from central Skopje in the Republic of Macedonia. The monastery bears the name of the Prince Marko who reigned at the time of its completion. Marko's Monastery has been active since its establishment.

Dolno Sonje

Dolno Sonje is a small village south of Skopje, the capital of the country of Macedonia. It is located on the other side of Mount Vodno from Skopje, but a road running around the mountain connects the two communities. The population of Dolno Sonje is approximately 1000, 98% of which are ethnic Macedonian. Most residents work in Skopje. Dolno Sonje is a popular vacation spot for its clean air, beautiful surroundings, and medieval churches.

Govrlevo

Govrlevo is a small village in the Republic of Macedonia, near Skopje. It belongs to the Sopište municipality. Govrlevo is famous for Adam of Macedonia (or "Adam of Govrlevo"), a Neolithic sculpture found by the archaeologist Milosh Bilbija from the Skopje City Museum, and is more than 6.000 years old. Blagica Pavlovska, a famous Macedonian folk-singer was born in Govrlevo.
