Goce Delčev University of Štip

The Goce Delčev University of Štip (Macedonian: Универзитет Гоце Делчев Штип, Univerzitet Goce Delčev Štip) is a state university in Macedonia. It was founded on 27 March 2007 by the Assembly of Macedonia as the fourth state university. Its headquarters are in Štip. Antigonia (Paeonia)

Antigonia also transliterated as Antigonea and Antigoneia was a Hellenistic city in Paeonia, North Macedonia, placed in the Peutinger Table between Stena and Stobi, where present day city of Negotino is located. (Scymnus, 631; Pliny iv. 10. s. 17; Ptolemy iii. 13. § 36. ) ANTIGONIA in Paeonia Our written sources about Antigonia in Paeonia are quite obscure. In description of the greatness of former Macedonia, Pliny (23-73 AD) listss a number of nations, places and towns.

Bistrenci

Bistrenci is one of the larger villages in Demir Kapija municipality. Its population is mixed among Turks, ethnic Macedonians, Albanian, and Vlach. It has been has its roots in the Ottoman period until the Slovenes came to harvest grapes. The Catholic church was then built. Many Turkish stayed and still live in the village to this day. The Slovenes stayed until World War II, and the Macedonians inhabited the village afterwards and erected an Orthodox community.
