Bugeac is a commune and village in the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit of the Republic of Moldova. The 2004 census listed the commune as having a population of 1,525 people. 942 inhabitants are Gagauz. Minorities included 115 Russians, 85 Ukrainians, 56 Bulgarians, 4 Roma and 305 Moldovans. Bugeac's average elevation is 43 metres. Its geographical coordinates are 46° 21' 57" North, 28° 39' 48" East.

Comrat

Comrat is a city in Moldova and the capital of the autonomous region of Gagauzia. It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:46|19|N|28|40|E||| | |name= }}, in the south of the country, on the Ialpug River. In 2004, Comrat's population was 23,429, of which the vast majority are Gagauzians. The name is of Turkic and Nogai origin.

Dezghingea is a commune and village in the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit of the Republic of Moldova. The 2004 census listed the commune as having a population of 5,252 people. Gagauz total 4,963. Minorities included 158 Moldovans, 67 Russians, 33 Ukrainians, 14 Bulgarians and 2 Poles. Its geographical coordinates are 46° 25' 28" North, 28° 37' 0" East.

Vulcăneşti

Vulcăneşti is a town in Gagauzia, Moldova. Vulcanesti is the southern enclave of Gagauzia surrounded by the Cahul District and Odessa Region. One village is administered by the city of Vulcăneşti station. It was the site of an archaeological investigation, which found a Neolithic sculpture that echoes Rodin's The Thinker.

Comrat State University

The Comrat State University in Moldavia is the successor of Gagauz National University, which has been founded by the decision of the Russian National Education Foundation and the Executive Committee of Comrat Regional Council of Deputies from February 11, 1991. By its Resolution the Government of Republic of Moldova gave it the status of State University in 2002. The university has 4 faculties: National Culture Faculty Economic Faculty Law Faculty Agricultural-Technological Faculty.
