Rădăuți-Prut

Rădăuţi-Prut is a commune in Botoşani County, Romania, composed of three villages: Miorcani, Rădăuţi-Prut and Rediu. It was seriously affected by floods in July 2008. Rădăuţi-Prut is also a border crossing point between Moldova and Romania. The only modern flint mine in Romania is located at the edge of Miorcani.

The Moldova – Romania border is the international border between Moldova and Romania. It is a fluvial boundary, following the course of the Prut and Danube. The boundary is 681.3 kilometres long, including 570 metres along the Danube. This external border of the European Union runs from Criva in the North-West to Giurgiuleşti in the South-East.
