Geography of Moldova

Located in southeastern Europe, Moldova is bordered on the west by Romania and on the north, south, and east by Ukraine. Most of its territory lies between the area's two main rivers, the Dniester and the Prut. The Dniester forms a small part of Moldova's border with Ukraine in the northeast and southeast, but it mainly flows through the eastern part of the country, separating Bessarabia and Transnistria. Death of Valeriu Boboc

Valeriu Victor Boboc (May 5, 1985 - April 8, 2009) was a protester who died in police custody amid the post-election protests in Chişinău, Moldova. The initial official cause was smoke poisoning from the riot, but his family insisted that he was beaten to death by the police, his body being full of contusions.

Valeriu Victor Boboc (May 5, 1985 - April 7, 2009) was a protester who died during the post-election riots in Chişinău, Moldova. He was posthumously decorated, by a presidential decree, with Moldova's highest state decoration – the Order of the Republic.
