Thadia
Thadiya is a small village along the Mahendra Highway in eastern Nepal. It lies in Morang District and Koshi Zone. Though indigenous Tharu people have been living here for a long time, more people from hills area began to settle here around 1940-1950. Today, Thadiya a multicultural village with Tharu, Bahun, Chhetri, Rai and many other races living together. Most of the inhabitants are seasonal farm workers. A major campus for Purwanchal University is due to be constructed in Thadiya.
