Ruahine Range

The Ruahine Range is one of several mountain ranges in the North Island of New Zealand which form a ridge running parallel with the east coast of the island between East Cape and Wellington. The ridge is at its most pronounced from the central North Island down to Wellington, where it comprises the Ruahine, Tararua,and Rimutaka Ranges. The Ruahines run northeast-southwest for 110 kilometres from inland Hawke's Bay to near Woodville.

Manawatu District

The Manawatu District is a district in the Manawatu-Wanganui Region in the North Island of New Zealand. Commonly referred to as "The Manawatu", the district is based on the town of Feilding and includes most of the area between the Manawatu River in the south and the Rangitikei River in the north; stretching from slightly south of the settlement of Himatangi in the south, to just south of Mangaweka in the north; and from the Rangitikei River to the summits of the Ruahine Ranges in the east.

Pohangina

Pohangina is a small rural town in the Manawatu-Wanganui region of New Zealand. Pohangina has two parts to it; Pohangina Valley and Pohangina Village and it is just north of Ashhurst Pohangina consists of Awahou School, Totara Reserve camping ground, Pohanginga River and lots more. Pohangina is beautiful and a great place for a holiday.

Te Rehunga

Te Rehunga is a rural locality located in the Tararua District of southern Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Known today for its sheep and dairy farming, Te Rehunga is adjacent to the agricultural service towns of Dannevirke and Woodville, and borders the eastern slopes of the Ruahine Range. Local education is provided by Ruahine primary school, with older students attending the nearby Dannevirke High School.
