Clifford Bay, New Zealand

Clifford Bay is a bay in the northeast of the South Island of New Zealand, in the Marlborough Region. It lies between Cloudy Bay to the northwest, and Cape Campbell, the easternmost point of the South Island. The bay's most notable feature is the solar salt extraction works at Lake Grassmere, close to the southern end of the bay. Since the 1920s, there have been various proposals for an inter-island port and ferry terminal to replace Picton, the last time being in 1995.

Ward, New Zealand

Ward is a small town in Marlborough, New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 1, 20 kilometres south of Seddon. Kaikoura is 82 km to the southwest. The Flaxbourne River flows past to the north and into the Pacific Ocean to the south-east of Ward. The population was 903 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 3 from 2001.

Blind River (New Zealand)

The Blind (Otuwhero) River is a small river in the Marlborough district of New Zealand. It flows into Clifford Bay 4km north of Lake Grassmere. A small settlement named Blind River is located on its south bank.

Cape Campbell

Cape Campbell (from Scottish Gaelic: Cheap Caimbeul), Te Karaka in Māori language, is located in Marlborough, New Zealand, on the northeastern coast of the South Island. It lies at the southern end of Clifford Bay, 15 km northeast of Ward, and 42 km southeast of Blenheim. Cape Campbell lies close to the salt works at Lake Grassmere. It is the third easternmost point of the south island, at a longitude of about 17416.5' East.
