Maruia River
The Maruia River is located in the northwestern South Island of New Zealand. It is a major tributary of the Buller River, flowing for 80 kilometres before joining the larger river eight kilometres to the west of Murchison. The Maruia River rises in the Spenser Mountains, travelling first to the southwest before turning north for the last 50 kilometres of its length.

Matiri River
The Matiri River is a river located in the northwest of New Zealand's South Island. It runs south for 30 kilometres from its headwaters west of Mount Owen in Kahurangi National Park to its confluence with the Buller River just below the town of Murchison. Halfway along its length, it passes through Lake Matiri. Downstream from Lake Matiri the banks of the river has mixed livestock farming and some small scale forestry.

The Deepdale River is a river of New Zealand. It is mostly located in the West Coast Region of the South Island, but the lower part of the river is in the Tasman Region. The Deepdale flows generally north from its source in the Brunner Range, within Victoria Forest Park, forming a deep valley. It reaches the Buller River at the upper Buller Gorge, 20 kilometres west of Murchison.
