Ruakura

Ruakura is a semi-rural suburb of Hamilton City, in the Waikato region of New Zealand. The University of Waikato is nearby. The area lies to the east of urban Hamilton and to the west of State Highway 1B (a variant of State Highway 1 which avoids the urban area). University of Waikato

The University of Waikato (informally Waikato University, or simply Waikato) (Māori: 'Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato') has campuses located in the cities of Hamilton and Tauranga, New Zealand. Established in 1964, it was the first university in New Zealand to be built from the ground up. Waikato is a comprehensive university, made up of seven faculties and schools, with more than 12,000 students at the end of 2011.
