Kårstø Power Station

Kårstø Power Station is a natural gas-fired thermal power plant located at the industrial site of Kårstø in Norway. The station is owned and operated by the company Naturkraft, that is again owned by Statkraft and Statoil and opened on 2 November 2007. Construction costs totaled NOK 2 billion and the turbine was delivered from Siemens. The power station has an installed effect of 420 MW, with an annual production of 3.5 TWh, equivalent of 3% of the Norwegian electrical production.

Hervik

Hervik is a small village located at the western shore of the Herviksfjord in Tysvær municipality, Norway. The village is known for production of fruit syrup, juice and jam. Products are sold by mail order, at 7-Eleven and in delicatessens nationwide in Norway. The village is confirmed populated since the 14th century and has grave sites dating from the Bronze Age.

Skjoldafjorden

Skjoldafjorden is a fjord in Rogaland, Norway. It is a 26 kilometres long northern branch of Boknafjorden, and is located in the municipalities of Tysvær and Vindafjord. The island Borgøy is located at the mouth of the fjord. The narrow passage Skjoldastraumen has strong tide flows, and contains the only salt water lock in Norway.

Borgøy

Borgøy is an island in the municipality of Tysvær in Rogaland, Norway. It is located at the mouth of Skjoldafjorden, and covers and area of about 4.5 square kilometres . Highest mountain is 292 m. a. s. l.. Borgøy was the birthplace of painter Lars Hertervig.
