Flatdal (lit. "Flat valley") is a village, parish and valley in the municipality of Seljord in Telemark, Norway. The lake Flatsjå has been partly drained to gain more land for agriculture. Among notable people from Flatdal are painter Terje Grøstad, who settled in Flatdal, and television presenter Hallvard Flatland, who was born in Flatdal in 1957.

Morgedal, Norway is a village whose most famous residents were Sondre Norheim, known to be the father of modern skiing plus Torjus Hemmestveit and Mikkjel Hemmestveit. The Hemmestveit brothers created the world's first skiing school at Christiania, Norway in 1881 before emigrating to the United States in the late 19th century.

Åsgrend is a small parish in the council of Kviteseid, the county of Telemark in the Kingdom of Norway. Åsgrend is also known as Heggtveit which is also the name of the lower region of the parish.
