Nurit

Nurit was a moshav on Gilboa Mountain in northern Israel. It belongs to the Gilboa Regional Council. The moshav was founded in 1950 by immigrants to Israel from Yemen. It is named after the nearby Arab village Nuris, which lies in the adjacent valley. The Arab village was captured on May 29, 1948, during the Israeli War of Independence. The residents of the moshav abandoned it after nine years, except for one woman who continued to live there until the early 1970s.

Gilboa Regional Council

Gilboa Regional Council is a regional council in northern Israel, located on the slopes of the Gilboa mountain range. There are more than 22,000 residents in 38 settlements as of 2007. The size of the area is about 250,000 dunams. It is bordered on the north and west by the Jezreel Valley and the Jezreel Valley Regional Council; on the south by the Samarian mountains, and on the east by the Beit She'an Valley and the Beit She'an Valley Regional Council.

Highway 71 (Israel)

Highway 71 is an east-west highway that passes through the Jezreel Valley and the Beit She'an Valley, below the north slopes of the Gilboa mountains, in northern Israel. The road follows a path parallel to Harod Creek in Harod Valley and to a railroad track for the defunct Valley Railroad. The road is 35 km long, and it leads from Afula in the west, via Beit She'an, and it terminates at a border crossing on the Jordan River.

Magen Shaul

Magen Shaul is a moshav near Gilboa Mountain in northern Israel. It belongs to the Gilboa Regional Council. The moshav was founded in 1976 by children of families who lived in other moshavim of the Ta'anakh region. The name "Magen Shaul" is borrowed from the elegy that David proclaimed after Saul died in a battle against the Philistines in the surrounding area.

Ein Harod

Ein Harod was a kibbutz in Israel between 1921 and 1952, when it split into Ein Harod (Ihud) and Ein Harod (Meuhad). It was located in the north of the country near Mount Gilboa.
