Central Visayas

Central Visayas, designated as Region VII, is a region of the Philippines located in the central part of the Visayas island group. It consists of four provinces—Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor— and the highly urbanized cities of Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City. The region is dominated by the native speakers of Cebuano. Cebu City is its regional center. The land area of the region is 15,875 km².

Cebu Strait

Cebu Strait, sometimes called Bohol Strait, is a strait in the Philippines that separates the island provinces of Cebu and Bohol. The Cebu Strait connects the western part of Bohol Sea with Camotes Sea, and is a major sea-lane connecting Cebu City on its northern end with port cities in the south such as Dumaguete City and Cagayan de Oro City. Mactan Island, on the northern end of the same strait has the Mactan International Airport, one of the major airports in the country.

Pescador Island

Pescador Island is an island located in the Tañon Strait, a few kilometres from the western coast of the island of Cebu in the Philippines. It is governed by the municipality of Moalboal, Cebu. It is an island where fishermen spear fish exhaustively the entire reef. All proceeds from sales of the entrance tags and tickets are managed by the Municipality of Moalboal and Moalboal Dive Center Association (MDCA) and government officials and villagers from the Municipality of Moalboal.

Mantayupan Falls

Mantayupan Falls is found in Cebu, Philippines. It is located close to the east end of Carcar-Barili Road where it connects to the national highway. The falls are approximately 200 feet high but do not have a direct descent. Pools at various heights flow into the basin. The waterfall is one of three main tourist attractions in the interior barangays of Barili.
