Szydłów Synagogue
Szydłów Synagogue was an Orthodox Judaism synagogue in Szydłów, Poland. It was built in 1534–1564 as a fortress synagogue with heavy buttresses on all sides. The synagogue was devastated by Nazis during World War II. During the war it served as a weapons and food magazine. After the war, it briefly served as a village cinema to be eventually abandoned. The building was renovated in the 1960s for use as a library and cultural center.

Szydłów is a village in Staszów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Lesser Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Szydłów. It lies approximately 13 kilometres west of Staszów and 43 km south-east of the regional capital Kielce. The village has a population of 11px 1,093. Szydłów's history dates to the 12th century. It gained its city rights in 1329 and lost them in 1869.
