Phoenix Copper Smelter

The Cuprom Phoenix Copper Smelter is a smelter of sulfurous copper ores in Baia Mare, Romania. Due to the toxic fumes causing acid rain, it has a 351.5 m chimney, built in 1995, making it the tallest artificial structure in Romania and the third tallest chimney in Europe. The tower is no longer in use.

Săcălășeni

Săcălăşeni is a commune in Maramureş County, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Coruia (Karuly), Culcea (Kővárkölcse) and Săcălăşeni. From 1968 to 2004, it also included four other villages. Coaș

Coaş is a commune in Maramureş County, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Coaş and Întrerâuri (Láposköz).
