Volovăţ is a commune located in Suceava County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Volovăţ, and also included Burla village until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune. Bogdana Monastery

Bogdana Monastery is an Eastern Orthodox monastery in the town of Rădăuți, northern Romania. Its church is the oldest still standing religious building in Moldavia. The monastery was built by Bogdan I of Moldavia (1359–1365) somewhere around 1360. It was to become his and some the Muşatini voievods necropolis. Here are buried all the rulers of Moldavia from Bogdan I to Alexandru cel Bun.
