Slava Cercheză

Slava Cercheză is a commune in Tulcea County, Romania. Its name means the Cherkess Slava, in reference to the main group of the village before the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878). Besides the titular village, the commune also includes Slava Rusă (Russian: Русская Слава, Russian Slava). Situated near the site of ancient Libida, the commune is home to an important Russian-speaking Lipovan community (79.9% of the population) dating from the late 17th or early 18th century.

Cocoș Monastery

Cocoş Monastery is a monastery in Isaccea, Romania, located in a forest clearing 6 km south of the town centre and 6 km of Niculițel. The monastery includes an abbot's house, a number of monks' dwellings, a bell tower, a chapel and a church dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos, all of which are on the list of historical monuments in Romania, being built between 1883 and 1913.

Măcin Mountains

The Măcin Mountains is a mountain range in Tulcea County, Dobrogea, Romania. Part of the Northern Dobruja Massif, they are located between Danube River to the north and west, Taița River and Culmea Niculiţelului to the east and Casimcea Plateau to the south. Seen from the Danube, they seem only low hills, however they are mountainous region .
