Lebedyansky District

Lebedyansky District is an administrative and municipal district, one of the eighteen in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,420 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the town of Lebedyan. Population: 43,178; 46,644; 46,250. The population of Lebedyan accounts for 48.7% of the district's total population.

Lev Tolstoy (rural locality)

Lev Tolstoy is a rural locality (a settlement) and the administrative center of Lev-Tolstovsky District of Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. Population: 8,650; 9,035; 9,139. The settlement was founded in 1890 as Astapovo (Аста́пово) railway station on the intersection of the Kozlov–Volovo and Moscow–Yelets routes. Leo Tolstoy, a famous Russian novelist, fell ill at Astapovo station and died here in 1910. In 1918 (1920 according to other sources), the station was given its present name.

Dankov

Dankov is a town and the administrative center of Dankovsky District of Lipetsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Don River 86 kilometers northwest of Lipetsk. Population: 21,064; 23,249; 24,659. The fort of Donkov was founded by the Princes of Ryazan in the late 14th century and took its name from the Don River. The town stood on the left bank of the Don, about 34 kilometers from the modern town, until 1568, when it was destroyed by the Crimean Tatars.
