Millerhof

Millerhof is a folk name of a palace built near Istra Reservoir, Moscow Region, Russia. The palace was constructed in 2008-2009, and resembles a somewhat diminished and simplified copy of the famous palaces of Peterhof. The site also hosts several formal gardens that seem to be however inaccessible for general public. The owner of the palace is not officially known, however Russian newspapers allege the ownership to Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller.

Tchaikovsky House-Museum (Klin)

The Tchaikovsky House-Museum was the country home in Klin, 85 kilometers northwest of Moscow where Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky lived from May 1892 until his death in 1893. His last major work, the 6th Symphony, was written there. The house is now a museum.

Vysokovsk

Vysokovsk is a town in Klinsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 99 kilometers northwest of Moscow. 10,635; 10,950; 11,611. Vysokovsk was founded in 1879 due to the construction of a textile factory by the Vysokovskaya Manufactory Company. Two minor settlements servicing the factory—Vysokoye (Высо́кое) and Novy Bazar (Но́вый База́р)—grew into a small town, which would be renamed Vysokovsky (Высоко́вский) in 1928. It was granted town status in 1940 and named Vysokovsk.
