Lake Osveya

Lake Osveya or Lake Osveyskoye (Belarusian: Асвейскае возера or Асьвейскае возера; Russian: озеро Осве́я or Осве́йское озеро) is a large freshwater lake in the Vitsebsk Voblast, northern Belarus, near the borders of Latvia and Russia. It has an area of 52.8 km, which makes it the second largest lake in the country.

Lake Sebezhskoye

Sebezhskoye or Sebezh (Себежское) is a freshwater lake in the southwest of Pskov Oblast in Russia, close to the borders with Latvia and Belarus. It has a surface area of 15.8 square kilometres . The lake takes its name from Sebezh, a town sitting on a low-lying promontory jutting out into the lake. The lake surface lies 126 metres above sea level. Its maximum depth is 10 metres . In 1996, the lake basin with a cluster of similar lakes was designated the Sebezhsky National Park.

Pasiene

Pasiene (aka Pasīne or Posīne) is a settlement in Pasiene Parish, Zilupe Municipality, Latvia. It is the easternmost point of Latvia and the easternmost point of the contiguous part of the Baltic States. As of September 2008, the settlement has a population of 385. Although Pasiene is a small village, it is known for its Baroque-style Roman Catholic church dating from 1761. There also used to be a Dominican abbey in Pasiene, close to the church, but it burnt down in 1837.

Pasiene Parish

Pasiene Parish was an administrative unit of the now defunct Ludza District in Latvia. As a result of the 2009 administrative divisions reform of Latvia, Lauderi Parish was absorbed by Zilupe Municipality.
