Ivanovka estate

Ivanovka is an estate near Tambov, Russia, which used to be the summer residence of the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff in the period between 1890 and 1917 (until his emigration). It was the family home of his aristocratic relatives, the Satins. Many of Rachmaninoff's earlier masterpieces were created in its bucolic atmosphere. A museum commemorating the life and works of the composer was opened there in 1982.

Zherdevka (air base)

Zherdevka (also Zerdevka) is an interceptor aircraft air base in Russia located 7 km east of Zherdevka, Tambov Oblast. It was home to the 14th Guards Leningrad Twice Red Banner Order of Suvorov Fighter Aviation Regiment (14th Guards IAP) which flew MiG-29E aircraft from 21 April 1991 through the mid-2000s. In 1998 (Butuwski) or 1999 (M. Holm) the regiment moved to Khalino, near Kursk.
