Sobinka

Sobinka is a town and the administrative center of Sobinsky District of Vladimir Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Klyazma River, 37 kilometers southwest of Vladimir. Population: 19,482; 21,054; 23,720. It was called Komavangard (Комавангард) for a short period in the 1920s. It was granted town status in 1939.

The area of the district is 1,523.8 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the town of Sobinka. Population: 58,801; 24,864; 25,549. The population of Sobinka accounts for 33.1% of the district's total population.

Lakinsk

Lakinsk is a town in Sobinsky District of Vladimir Oblast, Russia, located on the left bank of the Klyazma River, 32 kilometers southwest of Vladimir. Population: 15,715; 17,086; 18,918. Lakinsk grew out of the village Undol (Ундол), which was in the same area as the modern town and is documented as far back as the end of the 15th century. In 1889, a spinning-and-weaving factory was opened near the village. As the factory developed, the village also grew.
