Karkloof Forest

The Karkloof Forest is situated in the Karkloof Nature Reserve, 22 km north of Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This is a large (936ha) Mistbelt Forest containing Yellowwoods and Stinkwood. Wildlife includes Samango monkey, Blue Duiker and Bushbuck. Crowned Eagles breed here, and the endangered Cape Parrot occurs here.

Craigie Burn Dam

Craigie Burn Dam is a arch/earth-fill type dam located on the Mnyamvubu River, near Greytown, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It was established in 1963 and its primary purpose is for irrigation usage. Recent assessments however, assign a significant hazard potential to the dam/reservoir which in turn makes the intended use questionable.

Howick Falls
