Dikhololo Game Reserve

Dikhololo is a game reserve in the North West Province of South Africa, 24 km (34 km by road) north of the town of Brits. It is a publicly accessible resort, providing lodging in chalets grouped into camps throughout the reserve, some between low hills. Animals that roam the reserve freely include various antelope: Burchell's zebra, giraffe, common duiker, steenbok, blesbok, impala, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, waterbuck, nyala, kudu and eland and other wildlife.

Vaalkop Dam

The Vaalkop Dam is dam in North West Province, South Africa. Its reservoir is located at the confluence of the Elands River and the Hex River, part of the Crocodile River (West) basin. The dam was established in 2010 in order to supply water for the platinum and associated metals mining operations in the area. The Vaalkop Dam lies near Pilanesberg, 23 km ESE from the outer perimeter of the ancient crater formation.
