Iblin, Syria

Iblin, also spelled Ibleen, is a village in the Arihah District in the Idlib Governorate in Syria. It is located in the Zawiya Mountain. On September 8, 2011, murders were reported from Iblin by the Syrian army. The target of the raid were a group of at least eleven soldiers who had taken shelter in Ibleen after defecting from the Syrian army. Footage from the murders were later revealed to be taken from a Rambo DVD.

Hass, Syria

Hass is a Syrian town administratively belonging to Idlib Governorate and Ma'arrat al-Numan District. Hass has an altitude of 630 meters. It has a population of 15,000. Hass is located on an ancient Byzantine dead city, and is surrounded by some of the most important Dead Cities, such as Serjilla, Shanshrah, and al Bara and Kafr Nabl. Zawiya Mountain

Mount Zāwiya or Mount Rīḥā is a highland region in Idlib Governorate in northwestern Syria. Around 36 towns and villages exist in the Mount Zawiya region. The biggest towns are Rīḥā (Arīḥā) and Maʻarrat an-Nuʻmān.

Great Mosque of Maarrat al-Numan

The Great Mosque of Maarrat al-Numan is an Ayyubid-era mosque in the village of Maarrat al-Numan between Hama and Aleppo in Syria. This congregational mosque was built in the first half of the twelfth century.
