Rene Mouawad Air Base

Rene Mouawad Air Base, formerly and still sometimes known as Kleyate Airport (مطار القليعات, Matar al-Qulay`at), used to be a military-civil joint airport in northern Lebanon, located near the town of Kleyate (also spelled Al Qulay`at, Qulayaat or El Qlaïaat) and 6 km from the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Nahr al-Kabir al-Janoubi

Nahr al-Kabir al-Janoubi (Arabic for the southern great river, النهر الكبير الجنوبي) is a river in the Middle East flowing into the Mediterranean Sea. The river flows through the Homs Gap. The river forms the northern end of the border between modern day Lebanon and Syria. In antiquity the river was known as Eleutherus. (Eleutheros, Eleuteris) and is referred to as such in the apocryphal 1 Maccabees 11:7 and 12:30. In English, it is also known as the Nahr el-Kebir or simply as the Kebir.

Qaabrîne (also known as Qa‘brīn) is a populated place in the Akkar District of the Lebanese North Governorate.

Cheikh Mohammad

Cheikh Mohammad is a village situated in the Lebanese Akkar District. Situated 400 metres above sea level, in between two mountains, it overlooks the Akkar plains and sea. It is made up of approximately 450 houses, with 99% of the population being Christian, mostly Orthodox and Melkite Catholics. This small village contains two schools, a primary and secondary as well as two churches, one dating back hundreds of years. And the very first hospital in AKKAR .

Miniara

Miniara (also transliterated Minyara) is a village in the District of Akkar, North Lebanon, 9 kilometers east of the Mediterranean Sea, and 3 kilometers south of Halba. The population is between 7,000 and 10,000. Miniara is the birthplace of Ibrahim BEIK El-SARRAF.
